50% of athletes reported exposure to sexualized behaviour

In the CoViS research, the two most frequently reported forms of inappropriate behaviour were:

➡️ 50% of athletes reported exposure to sexualized behaviour (labels, gestures, humiliating or offensive comments).

➡️ 48.9% stated that they had received, at least once, comments about their body, clothing, or family/sexual status.

These are not rare, isolated incidents. They are behaviours that — according to the participants themselves in the qualitative research — are often “normalized” as jokes or as “part of the team culture.”
