An online meeting of partners within the international project COVIS – Combat Against Gender-Based Violence in Sport was held on 29 October 2025, focusing on upcoming project activities and coordination among consortium members.
During the meeting, partners discussed key next steps, including the organization of the first in-person consortium meeting, scheduled for 12 December 2025 in Athens.
A major focus was placed on the preparation of survey questionnaires and interview tools for athletes and coaches, which will target athletes at all competitive levels, not only elite sport. In addition, partners addressed the development of educational materials, including animated videos and podcasts, as well as the creation of the project website, which will be available in four languages: English, Greek, Bulgarian, and Serbian.
Partners agreed on the importance of ensuring that all project outputs are original, innovative, and clearly distinguishable from existing initiatives in this field. To support this, a review of relevant scientific and professional literature was also identified as a key preparatory task ahead of the Athens meeting.
The meeting concluded with a clear definition of responsibilities and next steps, emphasizing collaboration, creativity, and timely communication in the upcoming project phase.
The COVIS project continues to move forward with the aim of contributing to safer and more inclusive sport environments for all participants.
